Less weight, compact size, more power – this is the new PK 880 TEC loader crane. It combines first-class precision, maximum efficiency and extensive lifting power. At the same time, the crane's lightweight P-profile boom system provides lifting capacities above its class – this allows increased payload on the truck while remaining compact and space-saving. A newly developed lighting system further improves visibility. Two working lights on the crane plus two working lights on the fly jib spotlight the load while the working area is illuminated by additional LED strips under the boom.
Smart assistance systems: Enabling maximum efficiency
The assistance systems of the TEC range enable a whole new level of efficiency: Slewing Lock prevents slewing of the crane in restricted areas. It can be easily adjusted by the operator. Repeated lifting operations can be carried out faster and with greater precision due to the Memory Position that can store up to four coordinates. By using the Leveling Assistant, the PK 880 TEC can also save up to 80 percent of the leveling time through optimized setup and stabilization. The last two features add to the operator’s comfort.
PALFINGER CONNECTED plus+ simplifies daily operations and complex project planning. Operators and fleet managers can check the current device status at any time, while the entire team benefits from access to a shared database. One of the essential features of CONNECTED plus+ is the Job Planner: It optimizes the entire planning process and increases the safety and efficiency of lifting operations by taking the specific crane setup on the vehicle, the planned outrigger situation and lifting capacity data into account.
When using the PK 880 TEC, operators can choose between the P6 and P7 remote controls. The P7 is an existing high-end solution while the P6 serves as a lightweight alternative. Thanks to its compact design and ergonomic carrying belt system, the recently introduced P6 remote control is easy to use, while the integrated color display allows intuitive control, and the battery life of over 40 hours ensures uninterrupted operation.
Electrification: Powering new opportunities
The PK 880 TEC can additionally be equipped with the Electric Power Unit 40. This allows operators to seamlessly switch between diesel and electric power, extending working hours and enabling use in noise- or emission-sensitive areas. Also, with the Electric Power Unit, fleet managers can enhance the flexibility of their whole fleet with a single investment, because the unit can be used across several trucks.
bauma 2025: A loader crane for every challenge
From light to heavy-duty models, PALFINGER offers a broad and versatile loader crane portfolio, including the TEC, SH, EH and SLD ranges, tailored to each customer's needs. Under its motto “Go for Solution P”, PALFINGER is showcasing two additional loader cranes from its extensive range of lifting solutions at bauma 2025.
The PK 24.001 SLD 5 is available with the optional multifunction adapter (MFA). The new MFAs allow operators to switch between different equipment tools faster and more conveniently, making it easy to swap equipment such as workman baskets or grapples, which reduces complexity and saves time and money. By expanding the MFA's availability not only for the TEC Range with P profile, but now also to the SLD, EH and SH crane ranges with a hexagonal profile, PALFINGER enhances the power of its loader cranes and provides maximum flexibility for a wide variety of challenges.
The PK 53002 SH was specially developed for stress-free lifting. The BOOM RELEASE ASSIST takes care of operational safety and allows performance at the highest level by pre-tensioning the knuckle boom before moving the main boom. It also enables digital features and functions such as the Job Planner and offers valuable usage insights based on operational live data.
Product availability
In the EMEA region, the new PK 880 TEC will be available to order from summer 2025. PK 53002 SH and PK 24.001 SLD 5 are already available in EMEA.
