The Business Development role is reporting to Sales and Service to create and develop the long-term vision of specific industrial segments being the pillars of PALFINGER Marine's strategy, starting from the renewable energy sector. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop market segment strategies in collaboration with R&D, Sales, and Service, maintaining close contact with our customer and dealer base.
  • Create deep knowledge about industrial segments, with a focus on the renewable sector, and develop offering packages for new products and service offerings.
  • Drive market entry of new innovative products (such as OPTS) by generating market needs and establishing test customers.
  • Train sales staff in segment-specific knowledge and requirements within these industries to ensure success.
  • Develop business cases for new service offerings in alignment with the segments we service, and continuously monitor competition.
  • Explore strategic M&A opportunities and partnerships to strengthen our position in the market.
  • Establish a reputation with customers as an industrial segment specialist, going beyond the current PALFINGER portfolio to meet evolving market demands.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Extensive experience in the Marine or Heavy Machinery business, with a strong understanding of the industry.
  • Technical degree in a related field of study, such as Engineering, Economics, or Business.
  • Deep sales and technical knowledge in the Marine industry, with a strategic background to drive business growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate ideas effectively and professionally.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
