The weldments are cleaned and pretreated with a phosphate conversion coating to prepare the product for electro-coating. A direct current is applied to the parts, which are then dipped into a paint bath. The electric field attracts paint to the product and deposits it onto the product with the same thickness for zero paint waste. Parts are rinsed and finally cured at 375° for 1 hrs. Our E-coat is long lasting, efficient and environmentally-friendly.
The steel is immersed in a bath of molten zinc to produce a corrosion resistant, multi-layered coating of zinc-iron alloy and zinc metal. While the steel is immersed in the zinc, a metallurgical reaction occurs between the iron in the steel and the molten zinc creating intermetallic layers. This results in an abrasion resistant coating. Once the steel has finally cured it turns to a greyish matte finish.
