PALFINGER is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team at our Council Bluffs, IA manufacturing facility—where precision, performance, and partnership drive everything we do. In this role, you’ll handle key accounting functions including monthly closes, financial reporting, and supporting audits, while delivering insights that help guide critical business decisions. Your Responsibilities

Review and analyze monthly financial results, including P&L, balance sheets, and KPIs, to provide actionable insights that support business performance.

Lead and support month-end and quarter-end closes, ensuring accurate reporting and full compliance with US GAAP standards.

Maintain detailed and up-to-date account structures, fixed asset records, and written financial procedures to support audit readiness and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and resolving A/R and A/P issues.

Play an active role in annual audits, government licensing renewals, and continuous improvement initiatives while cross-training to support a strong, versatile finance team.
Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, with at least 5 years of experience—ideally in a manufacturing environment.

Strong grasp of accounting principles, cost analysis, and reporting, with proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with SAP is a plus.

Skilled in preparing accurate financial reports across daily, weekly, monthly, and annual timelines.

Excellent communicator with strong time management, a proactive mindset, and the drive to take ownership of projects and deliver results.
