PALFINGER is searching for a Staff Accountant to work closely with the accounting manager to handle a diverse range of accounting tasks. We are located in Cerritos, CA. This position reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities

Assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, and general accounting duties.
Recording banking transactions and preparing month-end bank reconciliations.
Reviewing and analyzing customer payments, issuing credits as necessary.
Proactively contacting delinquent customers to collect on past due invoices.
Conducting credit checks on new customers and maintaining up-to-date credit files.
Calculating and verifying landed cost breakdowns for inventory receipts.
Assisting with company financial and inventory audits.
Processing daily check deposits.
Monitoring company expenses and negotiating discounts with vendors.
Preparing and analyzing financial data and reports using Microsoft Excel.
Assisting with the preparation of budgets and related financial reports.
Interfacing with local and overseas suppliers to arrange payments and resolve discrepancies.
Assisting the accounting manager in preparing monthly financial statements.
Supporting the accounting manager with any additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with an accounting emphasis (Preffered).
A minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a wholesale distribution or manufacturing environment.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis.

Salary Range: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
