Customer Service Manager

PALFINGER is searching for a Customer Service Manager. This position is located in Schaumburg, IL. This position reports to the Regional Spare Parts Manager.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee day to day operations of the Customer Service Representative (CSR) team managing customer questions and sales.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated  customer issues, including delivery dates, complaint resolution, and price issues. 
  • Create and maintain CSR development goals and yearly targets.
  • Improve the customer experience by coordinating customer facing processes with  Global Service, Documentation, Data Management (master data), Shared Service Centre, and Shipping. 
  • Implement process improvement, policy changes and customer service training to the CSR team.
  • Deliver coaching, feedback, and employee development to enhance departmental effectiveness. 
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures with respect to conduct and department operations.

Your Qualifications

  • Five (5) years’ experience in customer service and team leadership/management.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, associate degree preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of parcel, LTL, TL and container logistics.
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office with ability to utilize Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to engage and influence others.
  • Occasional travel required to corporate site and company sister sites for best practice sharing.
