As a Material Manager for PALFINGER in Cerritos, CA, manage and optimize inventory control and accuracy for production and spare parts warehouses, leading process improvements in logistics, MRP, and inventory management. Act as a collaborative leader who drives innovation, influences change, and adapts to a dynamic, improvement-focused environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the inventory teams in CA and NJ, fostering success through motivation and example.
- Ensure accountability for inventory control, accuracy, and organization across all locations, including yearly inventory preparation and supervision.
- Drive improvements in the Central Warehouse, Feeding, Kanban systems, and outside processing, ensuring accurate inventory master data and efficient transfers between warehouses.
- Reestablish and manage cycle counts, analyze results, and roll out processes to NJ, acting as a central support for inventory management.
- Optimize material handling, streamline production line replenishment, and enhance Material Requirement Planning (MRP) by maintaining master data quality and implementing effective processes.
- Analyze inventory data (ABC, consumption, costing, etc.), present actionable recommendations, and lead projects to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Your Qualifications
- At least 5 years in purchasing, inventory, or production.
- A minimum of 2 years working with MRP, Excel, and other Microsoft tools.
- ERP SAGE, SAP or Visual is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to create and manage project plans, present ideas and ROI, structure actions, and allocate resources effectively.
- Strong coaching, listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in English; Spanish is highly welcomed.
