Product Line Marine Handling Solutions (MHS) is a supplier of high-end equipment to the Oil & Gas, Offshore and marine segments. MHS product areas are Offshore Cranes, Winches, Lifting & Handling Equipment and Access Equipment. The main office for the MHS setup is in Bergen with assembly site in Gdynia and design offices in Bratislava and Rijeka.

For our Design Office in Bratislava, we are searching for a qualified and motivated Structural Engineer (f/m/d). Whether you are already an experienced senior level engineer or starting your career on a junior level, Palfinger Marine is the place where you can unleash your true potential!

Your responsibilities

  • Conduct structural analysis of crane structures, mechanical assemblies and components.
  • Support the engineering team during development projects from the concept until the prototype testing phase.
  • Create statical reports according to international rules and regulations (EN standards, class societies, etc.).
  • Being contact person towards the external partners from the class society for technical clarifications.
  • Structural engineer needs to support the sales and application engineering department. during the offering phase for the correct selection of the crane models.

Your qualifications

  • Technical education: Completed university II degree, specialization–Applied Mechanics.
  • Practical experience with ANSYS and Math Cad.
  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering, but newly graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in development and production of cranes is desirable, but not a must.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. English language-B2; Slovak language - C1.
