Aerial Work Platforms: Tree experts at work
The Kreitl GmbH is a family-run business based in Raasdorf near Vienna. For about 50 years the Kreitl team has been passionately dedicating itself to tree care and landscaping. As true experts in tree care, the Kreitl GmbH offers all kinds of services concerning trees. Centuries of knowledge are being shared far beyond Austrian borders with the renowned Arbor Technical Institute. “Both in rope climbing technology and in the use of an aerial work platform, qualifications throughout Europe can be recognized. We rely on the P 300 KS from PALFINGER because it is the perfect tool for our purposes,” explains Managing Director and master gardener Marcel Kreitl.

Agility and Reach
His son Julian Kreitl is also master gardener and has been working in the company for six years. In their latest job, the P 300 KS was used to examine and prune an oak tree. “I really like to be on the road with the aerial work platform in jobs like this, as it is very maneuverable thanks to the short wheelbase”, Julian Kreitl explains. In fact, with a wheelbase of only 3050 mm and a maximum working height of 30 meters, the aerial work platform represents an ideal combination of compactness, efficiency and ease of use that is hard to find in this dimension. Thanks to the lateral reach of over 20 meters, a lot of work can be carried out effortlessly in the area of tree pruning, without having to change the position of the vehicle often.
Tree care features
In tree care, it is very important to work efficiently, but always very carefully to not harm the trees. “We have a special work cage on this aerial work platform that allows us to drive far into the treetops without damaging them. It is particularly narrow and can be controlled easily but still very precisely,” says Julian Kreitl, explaining the advantages of the conically cut basket. In addition, the railings of the basket are reinforced to protect against damage. There is also enough storage space for various tools such as chainsaws or hand saws to take them safely into the treetops.

The P 300 KS is the only truck-mounted aerial work platform used by the company Kreitl. “We deliberately chose a PALFINGER product because we are convinced of the quality of the aerial work platform as well as the additional tree pruning features. Since the special tree pruning basket on the P 300 KS can easily be exchanged for a larger work cage, the platform is often used also for other activities of the Kreitl company, especially in inner-city areas. Here, too, the P 300 KS impresses with its high maneuverability and flexibility.
