To strengthen strategic procurement function in our After sales and Spare parts hub in Schiedam we are looking for a Strategic Buyer – Global After-Sales & Services (f/m/d) You find it exciting to work in the maritime industry? TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acting as strategic buyer in the field of maritime boats and davits after-sales & services solutions 
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for spare parts, services, and other after-sales requirements to support global operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and sales, to ensure seamless integration of after-sales and services procurement activities
  • Support the Asian localization initiative within Palfinger boats & davits production setup in China and Vietnam 
  • Supplier market research, assessments, selection, and development of suppliers
  • Execution of RfQs and definition of cost comparisons on TCO level
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and value-creation opportunities in procurement activities
  • Negotiate long-term agreements and contracts with suppliers to secure competitive terms and conditions
  • Willingness to travel (20-30%)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in industrial engineering or business administration or comparable qualification.
  • 5 years of professional experience in strategic procurement (preferably in the maritime industry)
  • Dutch and English skills- business fluent
  • Good computer skills, INFOR LN ERP system knowledge is an advantage.
  • Analytical way of thinking and a high level of motivation
  • Take responsibility and bring projects to success independently
